At Archbishop Cranmer CE Primary Academy, keeping children safe online is a shared responsibility between school and home. Technology is an important part of children's lives and brings many exciting opportunities to learn, communicate and create. Our aim is to help children become safe, responsible and confident digital citizens.

Online safety is embedded throughout our Computing, Relationships and Health Education (RHE) and safeguarding curriculum. We also work closely with parents and carers, recognising that the best protection comes from open conversations, shared expectations and positive digital habits both at school and at home.

Talking to Your Child About Online Safety

One of the most effective ways to keep children safe online is to have regular, open conversations.

  • Who do you like talking to online?
  • What apps or games are your favourites at the moment?
  • Do you know what information should stay private?
  • Would you know what to do if something online made you feel worried or uncomfortable?
  • Is there anything you've seen online recently that you'd like to talk about?
