Cultural Capital - opportunity for all!

Cultural Capital – Opportunity for All

At Archbishop Cranmer CE Primary Academy, cultural capital is developed through our Culture of Opportunity, ensuring that every child is exposed to a wide range of experiences that broaden their horizons and raise aspirations.

Through our curriculum and wider provision, we enable pupils to:

  • experience a rich variety of subjects, including the arts and humanities
  • develop confidence, resilience and independence
  • build knowledge of the world beyond their immediate community
  • understand the possibilities open to them in the future

These experiences support our vision of ‘life in all its fullness’, helping children to grow as well-rounded, informed and aspirational individuals.

Careers and Aspirations

We develop pupils’ understanding of the world of work and future opportunities through a planned and progressive approach.

This is achieved through:

  • our RHSE curriculum, where pupils explore aspirations, roles in society and future pathways
  • curriculum planning across subjects, making links between learning and real-life applications
  • our annual Careers Week, where pupils engage with visitors, ask questions and learn about a wide range of professions

Through these opportunities, pupils begin to:

  • recognise their own strengths and interests
  • understand the diversity of careers available
  • develop ambition and aspiration for their future

We ensure that all pupils, regardless of background, have access to these experiences so that they can see what is possible and be inspired to achieve their full potential.
