At Archbishop Cranmer Church of England Primary Academy, our vision is rooted in “life in all its fullness” (John 10:10). Our Relationships, Health and Sex Education (RHSE) curriculum supports pupils to grow into confident, respectful and responsible individuals who can flourish in modern society.
What is RHSE?
RHSE (Relationships, Health and Sex Education) forms part of our wider personal development curriculum. It includes:
Relationships Education
Health Education
Sex Education
Parents may request to withdraw their child from the non-statutory sex education elements of the curriculum. Please note that parents do not have the right to withdraw their child from Relationships Education or Health Education. Requests should be discussed with the school.

During the 2025–2026 academic year, parents and carers were invited to take part in consultation regarding our updated RHSE curriculum for September 2026. This included:
• opportunities to review curriculum information and parent materials
• an information session in school
• the opportunity to share questions and feedback through an online form
