Learning at Home

Welcome to our home learning page. At Archbishop Cranmer Church of England Academy, we are committed to supporting our pupils to continue their learning journey throughout a period of self-isolation, class or 'bubble' closure. Below you will find learning opportunities to support your child’s learning at home, as well recommendations for keeping healthy, both in mind and body. If your child is feeling unwell, we would not expect them to conduct home learning; we ask our community to put health and well-being first.

R.E. resources for home learning

We have put together some links to online resources that can support children learning at home.

Parents- We would ask that Parents consider how to keep children safe when they are online. NSPCC has some fantastic guidance available here: https://www.nspcc.org.uk/keeping-children-safe/online-safety/.  We would recommend setting parental controls on any devices and keep an eye on your child's history.

Children- just a reminder if you ever see anything that makes you uncomfortable please speak to an adult. This website is brilliant for learning about how to keep yourself safe https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/ - there are even games!

Active Notts School Games Challenge

Active Notts have put together a fantastic weekly resource with games and activities designed at engaging pupils in 30 minutes of activity around the home. Each pack contains a schedule of suggested activity challenges for the week and daily activity cards. You do not have to do them in the suggested order or in fact do them all, if you really enjoy one day there is nothing stopping you doing that activity every day!

There will be a virtual competition each Friday. You need to send your competition entries to Active Notts and there will be a prize for the top school in Nottinghamshire!  Every pupil submitting an entry will be awarded with a certificate! Let’s get teamABC on the leader board! Details of how to enter are shown on the schedule page and on the Friday activity card.
