Outdoor learning

At Archbishop Cranmer, we believe that outdoor learning, play and connections with nature are  fundamental parts of education and we aim to inspire and enable positive outdoor experiences as often as we can. In so doing, we encourage greater appreciation of the environment and access to nature and we are committed to promoting the benefits it brings to health, wellbeing and whole person development.

We are proud to have earned a Green Flag Eco School Distinction Award  and we have also earned our Platinum Woodland Trust Award.

In addition to this we were invited to present at the Church School Leaders' Conference on our journey towards embedding outdoor learning.

"Just wanted to thank you so much for your inspirational words and video at yesterday’s conference. It was wonderful to see the children and all the great things they’ve been doing. Please pass on my thanks to your young film-makers too."

We have been recognised in the news for our work in the outdoor learning area: we are a Take Care school and part of our pledge is that we take care of our environment. We do this through ensuring sustainability, outdoor learning and planting!
