Autumn Term

  • Courageous Advocacy: we took on the Smarty Challenge to raise money for the Rosie May Foundation
  •  Everyone in school contributed to this beautiful Nativity themed stained class window which we displayed  at The Cranmer Centre.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • We have all been exploring the wonderful festival of Diwali. Happy Diwali. We all carry a light within us that we can share and make a difference to others.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Courageous Advocacy:We had great fun keeping fit and honing our skipping skills whilst raising money for the British Heart Foundation!

 

 

  • We invited our whole community to our special outdoor Harvest Festival Celebration. Later, we took all the produce to Newark Women's Refuge.
  • We are enjoying ourHeart smart lessons and have been focusing on  the importance of being grateful . We have reflected on what makes us grateful, showing thanks for things like parents, friends and siblings. co-operation and  working together to fill our toolbox. This weeks theme was loving others. Our bible verse is love each other deeply with all you heart. 1 Peter 2:22
  • Foundation haven't  let the weather stop them in their love of being outside. We have been planting some surprises for the Spring term in the quad... snowdrops, crocuses and daffodils and  taking care of our environment,  appreciating beautiful things.
  • Foundation have been teaching their leaf people all about how to be take care people just like all of the ABCA community. We have all had so much fun in the sunshine exploring our wonderful outdoor environment. The leaf people had such a brilliant time, they needed a rest after.
  • We have been learning how to stay safe and look after ourselves with Buddy and the NSPCC
  • Year 6 send out their community prayer of thanks on the National Day of Prayer

  • We love to support our local community charity: The Rosie May Foundation and thank them for their for their  generous produce  donations which we will share with our local community 

  • We were delighted to support Kids Against Plastics Charity too
