Summer Term 2022
An Update from Juliet Coleman, on our Support to the Children of Ukraine
Firstly, thank you for your kind donations of toys for the Table Top Sale for Ukraine held at The Thomas Cranmer Centre in Aslockton Village. I took 3 car loads of toys, books, puzzles and games to the sale and was helped on the day by a team of pupils from Archbishop Cranmer Academy – Ruby, Ashaya, Grace, Priya and Harry Max. We raised £55.
In addition, I took several bags of the soft toys we did not sell to a centre in Bottesford which was collecting toys to fill a large van heading for a Ukranian orphanage (100 children aged between 18 months and 15 years tragically orphaned by the war– so terribly sad.) They were delighted with our contributions.
Finally, I took the remaining books and toys to Barnados in Bingham – as I do Gift Aid they have since told me that the toys have already raised over £30.
