Archbishop Cranmer CofE Primary Academy Striving for life in all its fullness. John 10: 10

Science at Archbishop Cranmer CE Primary Academy

Science plays a crucial role in developing our understanding of the world around us. Science at Archbishop Cranmer helps children prepare for their life through experiences and exploration through the world in which they live in. Children can discover, explain and develop skills of enquiry through working scientifically.

At Archbishop Cranmer, we follow the National Curriculum Framework for Science as the basis for curriculum planning, linking teaching to the termly topic whilst focusing on progression of the key skills.

Children are encouraged to be curious and ask questions and exploration is a vital part of pupil learning. The teaching and learning of science is  done through firsthand practical experiences whenever possible.
