Community News: living well together
Archbishop Cranmer Church of England Primary Academy is at the heart of the beautiful village of Aslockton and we are always engaging with our local and wider community to build strong networks and partnerships. Children have many opportunities to take part in wider community events, such as taking part in the neighbouring village show, sporting activities involving other schools and musical performances to audiences made up of people from the local community.
We have strong links with our local church, St Thomas' as well as Riverside Church from Nottingham. Read more about these here .
The school also encourages children to play a role in many charity events each year and participation in community involvement outside of school is recognised and celebrated in our Golden Assembly.
Our Christian Values of Kindness, Trust, Courage, Respect, Thankfulness and Responsibility underpin all we do and it is important that our clearly communicated and lived out values are also understood at home, with the potential for our whole school community to be influenced and changed by them. It is this living out of our values which genuinely defines our school and makes us distinctive.
If you would like to nominate any of our children for a Christian Value Award then please email the school office.
In this way Archbishop Cranmer strives to develop happy, confident individuals, who are well motivated, with the skills and knowledge to make their unique contribution to their locality and thus the world as a whole.
If parents are keen to establish community links with us please contact the school office.
