Archbishop Cranmer CofE Primary Academy Striving for life in all its fullness. John 10: 10

Jesus said ‘I have come that they may have life in all its fullness’ John 10:10.

We strive for life in all its fullness, for all our children, staff and school community.

Welcome to Archbishop Cranmer Church of England Primary Academy

Archbishop Cranmer is a friendly and vibrant primary academy, situated in the rural location of Aslockton, serving children and families from within the school's catchment area as well as villages beyond. As a Church of England school we are committed to our strong Christian ethos and are proud of the close links that we have with St Thomas’ Church in Aslockton. We are well known for our excellent outcomes academically and also for providing a broad, balanced and rich curriculum to engage and develop the skills of every individual child.

Everyone in the Archbishop Cranmer team is welcoming, caring and dedicated to all the pupils and their families.  I firmly believe that the success of our school and our children is very much dependent on a partnership between parents, carers, families and the local community that is open and supportive.  Our school is truly blessed to be part of a wonderful, local community who support us in so many ways.  One of our principles is that we 'work  together in achievement'  which means that we see parents as partners, also  working with outside agencies and experts for the benefit of all our families.

We offer 'wrap-around' care with a before and after school club along with a holiday club; we have a very active Friends Association (FAC's), an effective and skilled governing body and an incredibly dedicated team of teachers who are committed to the profound personal development of every child within the school. We pride ourselves on academic excellence and our 'Take Care. Be Proud' approach to all aspects of school life, underpinned by our Christian values. Our sense of pride in the school is clear as you walk around, particularly for the culture of opportunity we provide: we have a well-deserved reputation for the significant contribution we make to both the the personal and academic achievement of all our children.

No matter what a person’s role in the school  we believe Everyone is a Learner, Everyone is a Leader  and we are all, (Head teacher, class teacher, teaching partner, office administrator, care-taker or volunteer),  working very hard to allow every one of our young people to pursue excellence in all that they do; to be committed to being the best they can be; to have ambitious goals for themselves and their future; and to develop a deep sense of respect for themselves, others, the school and the wider environment.  The children are at the heart of all we do here at Archbishop Cranmer C of E Primary Academy and their needs are at the forefront of all our plans and at the heart of our school’s ethos.

Our website aims to give parents, pupils, visitors and our wider community an insight into our busy school life. I hope it gives you a good idea of our school’s character and of its strengths and the values and vision which underpin all we do. We hope that you find the detail useful and that it provides the information you require. Please feel free to contact the school directly for any further details or to arrange a visit, or if you are passing, please call in.

We guarantee a very warm welcome.
