St Thomas' Church

We are very proud of our link with our local church, St Thomas', and use it regularly for whole school services and for collective worship as well as making the most of it as a wonderful resource to support our children's learning. Find out more here. Members of the Church community  visit us and take an active part in the life of the school as well.

St Thomas’ Church was built in 1891.  It is a Grade II listed building designed by Sir Arthur Blomfield and paid for by Mrs Sophia Hall in memory of her son Thomas, Vicar of Whatton, who lost his life when RMS Quetta was shipwrecked off the north coast of Queensland.  This event is depicted in one of the modern stained glass windows in the church.

On the first Sunday of each month there is  a Café Church service at St Thomas', starting with a delicious breakfast served from 10:15am.  A small band provides the music and this service is an all-age service and attracts families with young children and our older parishioners.

Holy Communion is on the 3rd Sunday of each month and on all other Sundays there is a Morning Praise service.  When there is a 5th Sunday,  a Group Holy Communion is hosted.
