Archbishop Cranmer CofE Primary Academy Striving for life in all its fullness. John 10: 10

Humanities at Archbishop Cranmer CE Primary Academy

Geography and History at Archbishop Cranmer are taught through our Topic lessons. Geography strands are divided into location and place knowledge, human and physical geography and geographical fieldwork. History strands are divided into chronology, interpreting and investigating and knowledge and understanding.

The Humanities curriculum has been carefully built and the learning opportunities and assessment milestones for each year group crafted to ensure progression and repetition in terms of embedding key learning, knowledge and skills.

We want our children to enjoy these subjects and have no limits to what their ambitions are, to live out our school vision of ‘living life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10) to become archaeologists, research analysts, ecologists and conservationists through promoting curiosity, independence and resilience. We want to equip them with the knowledge and skills to prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences in their future.
